Ha ha. Too bad you couldn't affix tiny little wireless LED lights to their wing tips...then you could do an open exposure shot and come up with some pretty cool light patterns shots in the air. :P
I can hear them this year but I haven't seem them yet, every evening they start with the funny shreaking sounds :D
It wasn't hard to photograph as they just sit in the tree across the brook about 30ft away. They like to watch us more than we like to watch them I think :D
I love to watch the bats in the evening too in my back garden, but I can't imagine I'll ever photograph one, too fast and too dark! :D
How'd I miss this one, JC? He looks like a little oblong sleeping puff-ball. :)
You are indeed lucky to be able to see owls like this close to your property. I hear one once in a while, but have yet to actually see it. Good job on catching this with your camera!
Thanks guys, we are very lucky here, we have them ever year and they just sit in the trees and happily let us stare at them :) We also have Little Owls and Barn Owls locally but the aren't so easy to see.
