Carrying the Scoring Burden

Carrying the Scoring Burden

My mentor, The leafs are on the verge of not making the playoffs. Overpriced defencemen and no real talent for Sundin to play with in conjunction with SHITASS goaltending from a poof has once again let Mats Sundin down in his quest for a Stanley Cup!

2008-02-07 15:02:08 EST

lol... Valks wife was a knockout

2008-02-07 12:19:09 EST

Word is the Leaves are looking at bringing in Aki Berg and Garry Valk for a strong playoff push. ;) MWaahaha

It was comical to watch.. Whatever you're gonna do Fletcher... nows a good time to pull the trigger. Sorry... 'Cletcher'

2008-02-06 00:27:50 EST

Buddy fell on the nastiest part of the track. He was pretty pissed. He said he was at least a couple seconds faster than anyone else but just got a little too aggresive. He also doesn't get to do the next Euro race as he wasn't one of the top two Canadians even though he won both races last year. Oh well. Umm, Leaves, "rock bottom". 8-0. Raycroft 7 saves on 11 shots in relief. WOW. Head up buds. :(

2008-01-27 21:03:59 EST

Will do. He raved last year ablout the "talent" at the after party. This year after that publicity tour he did redbull foot the bill to get his parents out there. All I could think last night was how Cal and Maggie must have been cramping his style, ahahahhahaa. Poor bastard, lol

2008-01-27 20:51:52 EST

Let me know when you find out. All for the glory dude!

2008-01-27 20:20:32 EST

Something happened to buddy at Redbull. He never made the final 16 that was aired on TSN. Haven't talked to him yet but the redbull site had him at 5th out of the top 64 that q'ed for the final day. TSN said they would show what happened to him but they never did. Hopefully he never fuked himself up. The course looked pretty dangerous.

:)~ I'll check those links later when i get home. I'm on porn time right now. For hating the Leaves, u sure have an AWFUL LOT of insight to their problems over the years right down to the Muskoka boys who all grew up playing in the golden horshoe. I admire the job Fletcher has done with the early 90's Leaves and subsequently, Tampa Bay and Phoenix when Gretz bought the team. He had a wicked tan at the press conference as he was told to hide from the media in Mexico for a week. He won't put up with bullshit in the sense that he's too old and has been around the game too long to abide by any retarded politics the brass at Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment might think of throwing at him. It'll be Cliffs way or find someone else. We're starting from the grassroots on this one. It will be a long 3-5 yrs. for the fanatics around here. Thank fuk for Liverpool.

I'll check out your buds on tv if i'm around one. Too bad you're not into Euro-football, aka Soccer, be great to have your analytical mind in the footie-loop. Which so far is only Zeus, oddo, and myself.

lol, You have a great sense of humor Adam. Glad I have become friends with you. You crack me up routinely.

A couple links for your funny bone. I assume you know Mike Richards, radio personality.

Allistair Whyte is a name I can remember.

I noticed that #93 was behind the Canadian bench at the Spengler Cup. He is a sentimental choice but there has got to be several others that would be a far better choice. Sentimental or romantic thoughs are what got got the Leaves into this mess. Signings of Ontario boys like Roberts, Niuewendyk sp?, Corson, Muller, etc........ They can afford the best so go get the best damn GM and coach and AHL coach and the best damn support staff. Hire the best scouts and hire the best damn coaching and developement staff money can buy. You don't have to have high draft picks to succceed. Look at Detroit. Their best players were not top10 draft picks. They have depth and allow their players to develope before they enter crucial roles within the organization. The Leaf organization routinely puts the entire organizational hopes on the shoulders of 18 and 19 year olds. Stajan, Wellwood, Colavacio sp?...... Leaf nation is screaming for Pogge to come and save them but he is not readuy. Allow the young guy to develope for a few season. Jesus Christ. This isn't Rocket Surgury. ;) Very few become saviours at 18 and 19. They are usually taken 1st or 2nd overall. Last time I checked the Leaves didn't have one of those for ever.

Anyway, I hope things work out for Allistair.

On my end, my buddy is in Quebec this weekend to defend his RedBull Crashed Ice title. It is on TSN Saturday night. His name is Kevin Olson. Another friend is going to be on the next Ultimate Fighter. His name is Jason Dooms Day.

2008-01-22 20:58:52 EST

picture this... Crosby between Rod Brindamour's nose and the growth growing on Val Kilmers right elbow.... ignore me.

You have a keen hockey mind Bo. Only comes from years of watching the game and reading about it on the internet, newspapers, magazines, and endless debates with other hockey minded people. Watching the kids come up in junior and knowing who is who on draft day makes a difference too. Incidently enough, my boss's nephew, Allistair Whyte, is a Midget goalie with an OHL farm team.. He is up in the next OHL draft. Only 4 goalies allowed in the draft and he's ranked #2. Last year, Martin Brodeur had a clinic for youngsters here in Toronto, and Allistair was chosen to be his goalie subject for the clinic. Worked with him for a whole Saturday :)

Theres been talk about making Doug Gilmour coach here next year.

2008-01-22 20:32:05 EST

Bob Nicholson from Hockey Canada would be a killer choice as well.

2008-01-22 20:29:17 EST

Crosby between JFJ and Fletcher... can your western mind possibly fathom that???

LMAO, not sure why because I really don't know what that means.

Seriously though. I can't imagine gettting much for Sundin. He is on a one year deal and he will likely return to T.O. or retire. He would definetly be a good championship piece but to give up a first would be crazy I believe. Teams should have learned from the Forsberg fiasco last year. I could see Sundin in a large package deal for sure. Fletch is good and I can see him making sweeping changes or maybe not because he could just keep the boat afloat until a new genius is found.

Who could be that guy? I think Steve Tambellini the genius behind the nucks. He was in town Saturday as he went into the Hurricanes hall of fame. I am not a Leaves fan but it would be nice to have such an important franchise run properly. I fear a long term solution of Craig Button, Neil Smith, or a Doug McLean coming in. All would be grand mistakes.

2008-01-22 20:16:13 EST

hahaha... i'm killing myself laughing here. I think whatever Sundin goes for will involve a first rounder. Fletcher isn't an idiot. He built a great Leafs team in the early 90's and then went to Tampa to draft VinCav and build the core of the Lightning team we know. When Gretzky bought Phoenix... first thing he did was hire Cliff Fletcher!

Crosby between JFJ and Fletcher... can your western mind possibly fathom that???

2008-01-22 20:01:45 EST

I could see a package for Sundin. Say Ryan Malone, Jarko Ruutu, and Rob Scuderi! :))))))

Malone, Ruutu, and Pocahontas...could u fathom that? :))))

2008-01-22 19:45:33 EST

One of us could get down on all fours behind him and the other could push him from the front. A classic grade school trick... but really...

Sundin, Crosby, Malkin... could u fathom that?

2008-01-22 19:28:20 EST

15 years is a long time. I have only developed the hate for about 10 years. What if we were together when we spot him. The scenarios are endless. A couple swift jimmy kicks would do the trick.

2008-01-22 19:18:38 EST

What a vivid pic u paint... can u imagine... Clarke in his Sunday best walking down the street and then YOU, beard or no beard, just sucker his ass with a Bruce Lee crosskick? He's a pompous little gnat of a man who i've been waiting for to die for a good 15 years!

2008-01-22 19:06:19 EST

Clarke is public enemy number one for me. What a fuking ass nugget he is. The other week when he said that Blake deserved the Downie sucker punch had me about ready to crawl through my TV screen. What a fuking maggot that guy is. He continues to say that Macammond desrved that hit because he was admiring the pass really chaps my ass. Downie was pretty much as horizontal as Superman gets for fux sake. Not exactly a "hockey move". If I ever come across Clarke for whatever cosmic anomily then I am pretty certain I will blind side the fuker with a roundhouse. It will be his fault for puting his head in the way of my first.

2008-01-22 18:52:58 EST

Sens, Flyers, Rangers, New Jersey, and Boston in that order.

And Philly can analingus my butty crease till the cows come home. Bob Clarke created a life-long stigma for me.

2008-01-22 18:17:19 EST

Teams I hate.

Flyers

Rangers

Leaves

Oilers

New Jersey

Vancouver.

In that order.

Even though I was a BC boy for my first 23 years the fact that the nucks were owned for most of those years forever put a bad taste in my mouth. Nowadays Bobby Lou, the Aliens, and that bore Naslund turn my stomach.

The Flyers can forever kiss my ass.

2008-01-22 18:09:10 EST

Fuk the Rangers... I developed a deep loathing for them in the Sather era. Calgary, love it, Vancouver , love it. Like i said earlier... he is adamant about staying in Canada due to some investments he has made. Thats what some 'connected' friends told me today.

The sisters....hahahha... missed u on here dude.

2008-01-22 17:51:33 EST

Detroit would be interesting but I suspect multiple players would be involved to make salaries equal out on that one. Vancouver could be legit and it would be interesting to see him play with the sisters. I can't see Ottawa ever for obvious reasons like you said. Always have to consider the Rangers of course. Calgary has been mentioned out here but I just can't imagine Sundin as a flaming C-man. ;)

2008-01-22 17:44:22 EST

Well, Sundin puts a legitimate Stanley Cup contender over the top... Detroit with him would be scary. As long as its not OTTAWA (Mats would never do that to the fans) I care not.. I like the Vancouver idea because its in Canada and theres a great swedish contingent there. Makes the Canucks a lot more menacing!

2008-01-22 17:32:47 EST

So were do you think he will end up if you were laying your own money on the line?

2008-01-22 17:32:00 EST

lol yah, that was it! ;)

2008-01-22 16:37:13 EST

JFJ = merely an abbreviation

2008-01-22 16:27:16 EST

haha. I see you made a typo in your comment ;)

2008-01-22 16:16:17 EST

Krusty the Klown would have been better than JFJ. I'm estatic. Say goodbye to Sundin. The underlying word in the city is he'll be traded in the next week. He has said (heresay) that he doesn't want to go outside Canada as it will bugger some Canadian investments he has made. We hear Vancouver and then he'll resign in Toronto in the off-season. Too bad about Cindy Crosby's ankle and the All Star Game. Malkin gets to go now

2008-01-22 13:35:02 EST

Fliff Cletcher is in. Let the gong show continue.

2007-12-06 21:09:48 EST

A bit too early, but we're halfway thru the 3rd and thumping the Rangers 5-2... This is four in a row which i find totally diabolical. They still suck, but some simple line changes has made a dysfunctional unit somewhat bearable to watch now and again~!

2007-12-02 17:58:22 EST

Who would have thought the Leaves would own the Pens this season. I mean they're so pathetic yet own this Pittsburgh team like a prison bitch. Hilarious!!!!

Ok, back to reality... Leaves are playing desperation-hockey right now as the media pressure here is unbelievable. GM and coach are both on the cusp of employment... hence, a two game winning streak. First one of the year. It won't go to 3 guaranteed.

2007-11-25 16:46:12 EST

The only thing to do is to pull Clemmenson up from the AHL. Netminding is pathetic by either fuk... defence is lacklustre... and the forwards. Out of all of them we can maybe make one line.

Two fights last night... Leaves smoked in both... thank god i had asian entertainment over

2007-11-24 13:46:28 EST

Nice girls... I can't even take the Leaves seriously anymore.. I lazily watched clips of last nights game when work was dead. Phoenix tonight... Looks as if the Pens pulled out a big one vs. the Sens... probably the biggest threat to your teams Stanley Cup run.

2007-11-16 20:27:44 EST

JfJ has fuct things up royally. Wanted to make an impact, and he did, in the wrong direction. Yes its painful... before the lockout I'd be suicidal over their antics this season...BUT... Liverpool have cleansed my soul of the Leaves and I really just laugh it off! The guys on my hockey team... different story... always bickering in the dressing room before the game... "...leafs should do this/that... Maurice should get rid of.... leafs should get a sex change..." w/e dude!

2007-11-15 23:34:22 EST

Thumped by the Bruins.... Mack-a-Bee sucked... Our 19 year old Czech kid, Tlusty, just had some naked photos turn up on the net.. media is all over it. Pens won!

2007-11-14 13:30:48 EST

Bo.... everyone knows that comments on McCabes finest work ethic are posted HERE....

Are you serious.... Arghhhhhhhhhhhh!

2007-11-07 20:31:33 EST

Tsn is showing tonights feature game in Pittsburgh vs. Philly... PHI is up 3-1, which fkng irks me. Fast paced!

2007-11-02 21:47:27 EST

I KNOW I KNOW.... but Liverpool doesn't play till 1:15pm tomorrow. The leaves would never live thru a soccer practice!

Enjoy your weekend Bo... get out and get some brotha'!

2007-10-29 20:47:14 EST

The bouts come and pass for all of us. When i'm feeling shit, I take a couple of weeks off and head to Europe... always fills me with new ideas and a positive outlook.

2007-10-29 20:32:19 EST

GoodGawd! I'm 3 up on you and its a lifestyle man... I think about settling sometimes but that shit will find you when its time. Hit a gym, play a new sport, go pick up an 18 year old.... just don't let that train of thought consume you. It is the beginning of the end. Are you in an organized hockey league Bo?

2007-10-29 20:19:06 EST

Get over yourself, Bo! Get physical, physical. Set a goal, pick a race, and start training. Never get old!

2007-10-29 19:58:29 EST

The Washington Landmines are hammering the Buds... There goes my Tucker/McCabe theory... Thank fuk for Euro football!

How's 35 treating you big-tymer?

2007-10-26 20:31:37 EST

U'r hilarious dude. I love Phaneufs game.. kid does it all. Nice touch with the lady. Not boasting... how can one boast about leaves... but with no Tucker or McCabe in the lineup, we're actually looking kind of like hockey. We should've traded Tucks away two years ago when he was hot... trade deadline... could've got a first rounder and player for him... now both him and McCabe are virtually untradeable unless theres another John Ferguson Jr. out there with the mind of a newt. Your Pens just had a bad game, they're allowed one once in awhile.

I run into McCabe quite often as i work in Yorkville (posh area of TO). Last time i saw him... i told him that in my NHL 2006 video game, I took him off defence and put him on a line with Crosby and Ovechkin... he laughed. He probably shouldn't have.

2007-10-25 20:54:51 EST

A Pittsburgh shelling at home... who would've thought? I'll tell you who... me! Why? No Tucker, no McCabe = 2 pts. Simple muthafkn math!

2007-10-16 12:14:11 EST

http://mccabesucks.com/

2007-10-15 17:39:33 EST

NO SUCCESS BO! We're half an hour off of playing the Sabres who will tear us an alternate sphincter!

I noticed multiple times on Saturday as Crosby set up unspeakable scoring opportunities and his linemates were two chapters behind. Way ahead of most of the roster play-wise.

AXE must be happy, the Wild kicked the snot out of the Ducks yesterday!

2007-10-14 13:47:20 EST

Yeah, what I expected... Leaves have the lead and piss it away! Atleast England won its Euro Qualifier! Watching the Pens last night, I realized they have Crosby playing with the wrong guys. Recchi was painful and Sykora will be Sykora on any line. The need to play the kid with the Stall kid and maybe Roberts to elevate his game.
