Clun Castle information board

This saves me having to write about it! :D
The only masonry remaining is a large part of the big square tower on the right. The earthworks for all of the site remain pretty much as was though, which is very impressive by itself.

HilWil, if you want to more about all the castles in the Herefordshire, Shropshire and Welsh border area then google for information on the Welsh Marches, that is the name of the whole area. A family called the Mortimers pretty much ruled the area for decades. They even fought a big battle at a place not far north of me called Mortimers Cross.

Thank you, JC. I will read that. :) It is a shame that the stairs are crumbles now. that would make it an even better adventure through that ruins.
