Hammer Time, JC Style

I have rather more hammers than I thought! How embarrassing :/

I have a couple more I couldn't find, a large wooden blockhead mallet and a leather headed mallet.

Needless to say I have a few hammer action drills too, etc :\

It's not a pick axe it's an Adze, a traditional (old) tool for squaring off timber. Very hard to use properly, experts can get a finish much like a plane!?!

This collection is largely down to my father and grandfather who are the ones I caught the tool bug from :D

It seems to be a family tradition to never throw anything away, hence the handless hammers XD

And the duct tape is to try and avoid blisters, that mallet is heavy!

AWESOME! Ever one of them has that true weathered look to them. Sign of a true crafstman.

I see a couple of mason's hammers, an upholstery (tack) hammer, a BFH, a chipping hammer (thought you might have one of those JC), a handleless pick axe.

Nice looking collection, and displayed on the stone is a bonus.
