This picture was made just past Diamond Head going around the coast road out of Honolulu.

Yes, if I were down on the beach and turned around to the right, I would be looking back at the other side of Diamond Head.

vis45, I do have a few good pictures from the trip but I didn't want to wear out my welcome by posting too many.

I'm not crazy about flying either so my next trip may be on a cruise ship. I love the big ships, the food is great so nobody should mind the extra time. Totally the best way to go.

vis45, the weather was beautiful, daytime in the mid 80s, warm surf temps, and only a little rain, mostly at night, two times in ten days.

The prices of most ordinary things was somewhat shocking, about 2x normal but I guess that's to pay for the boat ride.

I just returned from a trip to Hawaii and there are more Japanese people there than live in Japan.
