High Park UNDER ATTACK

Theres either one or two of them... but BEAVERS have hit the park for the first time in 7 years. I can't believe the trees they've gnawed (nomed) through.

JC - In wild habitats, the work of the beaver is considered beneficial. As their ponds age and evolve to bogs and meadows, they increase bio-diversity and improve overall environmental quality:

But in a city park Park beavers would likely be an undesirable resident.
..... And i thought it was a speed bump i hit on Parkside Dr.
it does have a funny way of doing that. This is entertaining CFOX

Years ago, we had a great creek to ride our 3-Wheelers in! Then the beavers showed up, and made the entire thing too deep to ride in! We had to wait till it froze, to ride on it and find the Dam! We found it, it was huge! We even saw the back half of a Beaver going down through a hole in the ice! Nature won over us! :D
Well JC.... i think bad.... 7 years ago when they last had them... parks and rec trapped them and released them further north. In a short amount of time that they've been here... they've gnawed thru a small army of trees on the waterfront and I can't see the 'Park' standing for it. Its a sensitive water system there that would probably falter if they built their trademark dam.
I think its cute as hell
Is it considered a good thing or a bad thing that Beavers are in the park?

That's what I figured RJ and Sundin. We used to have Beavers in the UK a long time ago and people are looking to reintroduce them. As yet they are only allowed in sealed areas and not in the wild.
