My simple 3D construction - need red/blue "glasses"

Viewing this with red/blue (red/cyan) 3d glasses such as used for 3d comics produces a three dimensional object containing an optical illusion.
The illusion - are the left and right peaks closer than, or in the same plane with the center of the object?
Do you have 3d glasses? If so, 3d photos (Anaglyphs) can be found here:

impressive RJ! so simple yet very cool.
and thanks JC, i'll check it out ;)
This may be it http://www.tabberer.com/sandyknoll/more/3dmaker/3dmaker.html
Anaglyph is the technical term so try searching for that :)
I used to have some software that combined two photos, like RJ describes, to make a 3D picture, don't seem to have it anymore, but I'm sure some googling will find it :)
Slarti -
I made this with Ulead Photo Express. I started with a white diamond, then sectioned off the side wedges and added the cyan and red. I think that with some experiment I could adjust the tint a little to lessen the fringe ghost image effect, or I could copy the colors from a good existing 3d image. I think the background in the image I mentioned in my first comment helps to hide ghost images.
To do scenery, I believe you have to have 2 photos taken from different angles such as comes from a 3d camera or by using a regular camera which is moved between shots. I don't know what you do then, but I'm going to look into it.
With some scenes, your mouse pointer looks like it is floating in space - a neat effect! Here are two good examples:
