2008-10-09 11:50:20 EST

LOL, Richard. Sounds like the name a Dick would have ;D

(I know you can see what I did there :D)

Affirmative Richard.

Bo, did you take this through your window? There appear to be reflections on the right.

It might be good to have a church next door. They provide a lightning rod for the neighborhood!

I didn't miss that RJ, for the record. Smertazz!

2008-10-09 04:20:30 EST

Excellent work again Inspector RJ :D

It's good to know the big guy upstairs is keeping an eye on Bo :D

Skywraith, it wasn't hard because I had a lot of info.

Bobephus had posted his coordinates here:

http://snaps.lumra.com/~Pretty_windy_here_today._GROAN!_

That would have been enough, but SeaFox sped it up by posting this aerial shot:

http://snaps.lumra.com/~Why_is_Bocephus_Sitting_in_a_Field!_

My crowning achievement was finding this old photo of Sundin's apartment building:

http://snaps.lumra.com/~Toronto_Streetcar

Scroll down on that page to see how I did that.

Yes, Bo - a bunch of sobbing parishioners could affect your mood.

The minister died on a Saturday. The next day's service must have been an interesting one! I bet some people didn't know he had died until they came to church.

We had a very active member who stood up, clutched her chest and dropped dead right there in Church. I wasn't there, but I heard it was quite traumatic.

I remember that day RJ. I thought it was unusual to have the lot full on a thursday. Then I realized everyone was in black and clued in.

Kind of odd to be chillin while 100 yards away people are crying on the other side of a wall.

Wow, you know more than me and I live next to it. haha Gotta love the interweb!

I guess I should take a peak at the Coming Attractions.

SeaFox, All the Church's website says is that "the Lord suddenly called Rev. Fennema home to glory". It doesn't specify the method "the Lord" used to do it.

I was wondering what kind of Church this was, so I googled church - 40 ave n - lethbridge, and got this: http://www.trinityurc.org/trinityl/index.htm

Their "timeline II" page shows Bo's vacant lot and the building of the Church.

Bo, It also shows the interior of the church in case you havn't seen it. :)

Was he hit by lightning, RJ?! :)

Years ago, before they were forced to get "real" street addresses, many communities in Alaska (and, presumably, elsewhere) used to use de3scriptive addresses, e.g., "Across from the firehouse". One guy in some Bristol Bay community was crushed when he got a numbered address, because he lived across from the Association of God church. Many times "Association" got shortened to the first three letters. "Across from the..."

Their minister died suddenly a month ago while while participating in a local Christian School fund-raising golf tournament.

10?!?!? That's late for Church around here! They start about 6 or 7 here!

2008-10-08 12:24:25 EST

They wake me up every Sunday morning when the service starts at 10. All those slamming car doors.

Big Church! Are they noisey!?
