I seem to remember somebody did that. Cigarettes in a black pack with a skull and cross bones on. And I think Dennis Leary doesn't smoke anymore.
"There's a guy- I don't know if you've heard about this guy, he's been on the news a lot lately. There's a guy- he's English, I don't think we should hold that against him, but apparently this is just his life's dream because he is going from country to country. He has a senate hearing in this country coming up in a couple of weeks. And this is what he wants to do. He wants to make the warnings on the packs bigger. Yeah! He wants the whole front of the pack to be the warning. Like the problem is we just haven't noticed yet. Right? Like he's going to get his way and all of the sudden smokers around the world are going to be going, 'Yeah, Bill, I've got some cigarettes.. HOLY SHIT! These things are bad for you! Shit, I thought they were good for you! I thought they had Vitamin C in them and stuff!' You fucking dolt! Doesn't matter how big the warnings are. You could have cigarettes that were called the warnings. You could have cigarettes that come in a black pack, with a skull and a cross bone on the front, called 'Tumors' and smokers would be lined up around the block going, 'I can't wait to get my hands on these fucking things! I bet you get a tumor as soon as you light up!' Doesn't matter how big the warnings are or how much they cost. Keep raising the prices, we'll break into your houses to get the fucking cigarettes, ok!? They're a drug, we're addicted, ok!?"

I know SF! My step-mom used to work at gas stations and I used to go with her and all throughout the years as the prices and the taxes raised people would say that. They never do. When I first started you could pay $2 and get some change back; now the generic brands are like $5 and the name brand are like $7.
I remember when I was 17, working in a restaurant, and the salad lady saying-"I'll guit smoking if cigarettes hit 75 cents a pack!"
I love smoking. I have never considered quitting, and as it is legal and I pay an exorbitant amount of taxes on them I do not plan to quit any time soon.
I was happy when California banned smoking in restaurants. I hate the smell of smoke when I'm trying to enjoy a meal. When I travel outside Cali and they ask if I want the smoking or non-smoking section I loudly proclaim to "put me as far away from that nasty smelly cancer section as you can get me."
Last saturday I was in a pub and a guy at the table behind me was smoking. Well, I'd had quite a few by this time and there was half a glass of wine left on my table, and I thought that if he could make me smell of smoke then I could make him smell of something. You can guess what happened next. Turned out he was French, but that's no excuse.
In the UK it has been illegal to use a mobile phone while in charge of a vehicle for several years. http://www.sussex.police.uk/infocentre/content.asp?uid=405
We need that cellphone law hhere, more than anything else! I saw a woman driving, (sort of) while on the cell phone, AND eating a hamburger! I don't know what she was steering with!
my mom only smokes sometimes but like this guy she knows does it like a whole lot. i don't smoke or anything and i'm not going to do it ever, but i kinda like to watch the swirly shapes of the smoke when it goes up.
Smoking is prohibited in an auto in California IF there are children under 18 in the vehicle.
Those hand-held cell phone laws have always bothered me. The problem is that your attention is focused on the conversation, not the road. Making people use hands-free devices does nothing to address the issue. How many people need two hands to drive a car, anyway?
They just created a law here in Washington about cellphones. But it's like a secondary thing where if you get pulled over for anything else they can also ticket you for using your cell while driving.
it is now illegal in california to talk on your handheld cell phone while driving. but they haven't outlawed smoking while driving yet..
