That doesn't help me get the fuk out of Dodge!
JC, u'r knowledge of flora and fauna is evidently vast. I figured you'd studied horticulture, botony, or were a serious hobbyist.
Wow!!! I'll have to see if I can get some of these, they are just stunning!!! :)
Thanks Sundin.
And I wouldn't mind being your neighbor!
- And - all your photogenic "business associates" would be an added attraction! ;-)
i wish you lived beside me RJ and just down the lane from HWR
Just call me "RJ-ipedia" :)
Even after the blooms are gone, these are worth having around because of their interesting mottled leaves,
Thx RJ. I'd forgotten the name as it was told to me last week, I forgot, and was too lazy to look it up. Why look it up when there is an RJ? Good on ya!
It's a Trout Lily or Adder's Tongue
I have them behind my place.
Sadly, they don't bloom long - they are a spring flower whose work is done when the leaves come out.

Actually my plant knowledge isn't that good, except for ferns. But the practical side of garden and landscaping I'm pretty good at. I've never studied horticulture but I've been very lucky to have as neighbours, friends and for 10 years my bosses, two very capable and well respected horticultural experts. I started knowing very little and have learned so much over the years, and I've been an important part of creating their 4 acre garden :)
