Care to guess what the inspiration for that triangle front is?

btz, There seems to be someone or some people who just don't want any good posts here! :(

I just gave your puppy an up vote. :)

2008-02-04 12:37:02 EST

And my little puppy got 2 down votes ;( aaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwww

2008-02-04 11:10:17 EST

Cool looking building.

Two down votes already. Someone must not like rock and roll.

:D

2008-02-04 09:30:53 EST

ok ok i know... :D

The form was inspired by the guitar. It doesn't mean that he tried to make it look like a guitar. The architect isn't trying to hit you over the head with the thought. It is far more subtle than that.

2008-02-04 09:24:03 EST

i don't think anyone will say "look, that is just like a neck of a guitar there.wow!" when he sees this building :-/

2008-02-04 09:23:17 EST

Well of course you can't see it JC. You brain is mouldy. hehe

2008-02-04 09:15:59 EST

Really? I can't see that at all :\

Still an interesting building though :)

2008-02-04 09:15:35 EST

Does it make sense though?

2008-02-04 09:10:29 EST

is it? now that would be the last thing that would think of...

2008-02-04 09:05:11 EST

Maybe this is more difficult that I thought.

It is the perspective you would see if you looked down the neck of a guitar. Much like looking down railroad tracks.

2008-02-04 07:49:52 EST

ok, i know what you mean: this triangle or pyramid is a reference to some R'N'R thing, an album or an artist...? diamond perhaps?

2008-02-03 21:20:43 EST

The front of this isn't a pyramid. It doesn't have four surfaces.

2008-02-03 21:19:54 EST

I. M. Pei was the architect of the "pyramid" of the Louvre years before this. Still looking for an answer btw.

2008-02-03 16:44:01 EST

I. M. Pei was the architect, still trying to guess, googling etc

No but dark side of the moon is warm. It is derived from the building use.

2008-02-03 16:31:20 EST

Giza? Or the dark side of the moon.....

2008-02-03 16:29:11 EST
