"authetically old" LOL. Sorry RJ, but I was wondering what it would feel like having something from my childhood seriously called that.
I hope I have the chance to find out first hand someday.
Super shot.... I've always loved the look of the old photos. Most photo software have features now where you can alter your photo to attain this timeless look. I've messed around with it and had fun trying to make something look authetically old. Great pic/memory RJ!!!!
I never knew you didn't fish, Uncle. I love fishing, even though I haven't done it in a long time. So, it's not completely hereditary. ;) This is a great photo of you two! :P
Yes, I expect it's Fourth Lake in the Adirondacks, Nani
The beautiful 15 mile long "Fulton Chain of Lakes" go from "First Lake" to "Eighth Lake".
Cool! Ever go back recently to see how much it has changed if any? I bet the same trees are a bit taller at least.
Nope, Vis. For some reason I never got into fishing. Neither did my brother.
Maybe because Dad didn't fish.
Maybe it's heredity!
Yes goodgrief - That they all live 20 to 30 miles from me.
JC - Yes they were simpler times - for me, at least!
We spent the summer at Eagle Bay in the Adirondacks because of my brother's asthma. (less weed pollens, etc.)
The next year, when he was 15, he went up alone, and worked at the Racquette Lake general store. I'm not sure they knew how young he was! (You didn't need a Social Security card back then!)
You were just a cute little tyke, RJ. Do you still get to see your family often?
Yep - he was a big brute back then!
I think I'm 6 here, he's 8 years older.
I also have a sister 10 years older than I, and another 13 years older - HilWil's mom.
Great pic RJ. Something tells me that 40's big bros weren't much different than 80's big bros

Porzel, our local newspaper has a column of things that happened 40-50-60 years ago. I used to view these items as ancient history. Now is is recent past.
I had an older friend who was more forward looking who would say "I want to stick around to see what happens next!"
I've done that for years, and hope to continue for a while!
