Osa, Spanish for bear. Congrats on the new addition to your family.
reminds me of a baby black bear cub.... that little rascal has the 'devil' in his eyes.... have fun
Actually, there were two....but one was stillborn a week before this one came (also unusual) The momma, "Skittles", has had trouble with litters in the past....lost an entire litter of five born prematurily, despite our efforts to save them, then, she successfully bore three, then two (the two brothers in the shoebox pic)
Maybe the odd numbered, successful/failed litters might be because momma's a total phycho.....yes, I'm, sure she's insane....but her kittens that have lived and we've kept have been quite intelligent, personable cats, albiet quirky characters.
The "one" name ideas are good RJ, thanks......my two boys are alternating between "Pepsi" and "Nibbler"
Cat names here vary
There's "Hanna", short and feminine version for Hannibel, as in Hannibel Lector, due to her prowress at killing and stockpiling body parts (pic pending)
"Skittles", this one's mom, the two shoebox cats, "Dart" and "Rio", and our Manx (Robo Cat pic) "KC"
....and our little one here
Oh, and "Oscar" the wiener mutt
Beautiful little puss :)
I don't think I've ever heard of a litter of one before.
Congratulations on your new arrival, OZ
A litter of one?
You could name it using the number one in another language - Uno, Unis, Ande, Eins, Wahed, Taha, Arti, Ondu, Hana, etc etc

My friend who's a pet-sitter says you should get momma cat spayed because it will reduce her risk of cancer and almost eliminate risk of FIV (feline immuno-deficiency virus).
