I will confess that my stereotypical image of Americans has changed also. My only contact with Americans has been neon puffer jacket wearing gobbo's invading the tube, and the 'Good old great uncle shamus, its just like a comin home' types on my trips to Ireland. Most of snaps have changed my perceptions, but some have astounded me with their narrow minded beliefs...

Sadly mark rather plays up to many of the stereotypes people hold of americans, it's pretty sad really, I'm very happy to say pretty much all other americans I've met on snaps have been far from the unfortuante stereotypes generally held.

baarbod, you say you love Jesus as well all messengers from God, and that's good. So many aren't tolerant in the UK and USA, but then criticize others. We all follow God, but different messengers which is why religion can be such a tragedy. I also know a lot who follow Islam, all good people who deplore suicide bombers. I understand your comments about Israel. In WW1, many soldiers on both sides celebrated the first Christmas together in no mans land for a couple of days, but then went back to killing each other. I spent time in both Turkey and Tunisia...both around the same latitude with a similar climate, lots of pine forests in both. I'm sure Iran has no shortage of conifers.
