This is what the farmer's USA tribute looks like on http://local.live.com/
It was taken a few weeks ago before it greened up
Local Live is Microsoft's satellite views of the world, which also has these "birds eye views" for a growing number of regions. Unlike Google Earth, you don't need Win. XP and a special program.
I'd like to see what this looks like on Google Earth to compare.

Thank you all so much for this great info. I've already copied & pasted it to my 'word documents' so I won't ever forget the sites you've all mentioned.
I didn't even think to go to the net to look it up, as I am lucky enough to
in close proximity to the actual 'USA Field' and so took my snap from the road.
Enokrad, Thanks for the info! I was wondering about both Google Earth and Local Live 3D. I have Win ME, and, if I'm not mistaken, I can't use either. So, Local Live Birdseye is the best that I know of that works for me. Within the month LL added Birdseye views for my area so it has become quite useful for me.
The co-ordinates for the USA field are approximately 42° 35.69' N, 77° 07.39' W
Are you familiar with Maptech? Their topo maps are useful because the coordinates of your mouse position are displayed as you scroll around the map.

pootie not puttie. lol
and Team America was way better than those crappy movies. even though, thats not saying much.
oh well.
I have. it was funny at points, but a lot was junk to be honest. I can only put it alongside as movies as Kung Pow (tried to see it 2 times, never lasted more than 10 minutes) and puttie tang (with chris rock). those 3 belong an my all time (personal) worst list.
so serious. tsk tsk. you must have never seen TEAM AMERICA. if u did, you would have gotten the reference.
I was so buy typing my last comment that i never saw the posts before it. I had a whole essay written out in response to the first 3 posts. Then again i thought twice of posting it, since i found it needless to feed more conversation to such remarks.
So, going back to my previous post, i want to add that it's supported by Windows 2000 and above, Macs OS 10.4 and above as well as Linux Kernel 2.4 and above
this is the link if anyone wants to try it. it's free with no limitations (the one that does not say PRO).

Thank you RJ. I was looking for that one. do you know coordinates?
As for local.live.com, It gives you top hybrid view as well as side aerial shots
and Virtual building 3D view. On google earth you have an actual 3D layout of the ground elevation (which the perspective can be adjusted on a scale from 1-3 in the settings menu). Google has been adding 3D buildings simulated by grayscale colored building models. On major cities certain building are done with actual building layouts as in local.live but higher picture resolution. Buildings can also be added by anyone, and you have access to more information, than preselected by local.live, through the global community by pushpins entered by anyone adding details to areas or buildings. It also gives you access to user posted details, pictures or or other media. In the end i prefer google earth just by the fact you have 3D elevation. It gives you better perspective of the layout of the land. It's also a little smoother with navigation and gives you the option of flight mode (flying virtually over land. It took me a lot of crashes to learn how to fly the damn thing). It also works with the gps device i have, which is good when i carry my laptop.
