Thats funny slarti as the self-proclaimed 'Master Falconer' I dealt with on the weekend is 'a bit rude and full of himself'. I think the word my brother and I used to describe him was 'beat-off'. Knowledgable and good at what he does though.
Back in 2002, he invented a robo-falcon that he sold to Torontos international airport to fly around the runways scaring away birds etc. He claims 400 people a year die in plane crashes due to plane collisions with birds.
he is an ex cop Sundin, a bit rude and full of himself but by far not such a huge nob as they say he is. and it was a great pleasure for me to wonder around the farm.
there are a bunch of chicken there HilWil, it seemed to me that they are cool with each other
i reckon the chickens are aware that the beast in bound to its perch.
Are those chickens in the lawn?... and those falcon don't scare them?

the farm is near a road that connects my city with a neighboring village. i stopped my car by the road and started snapping from some 100 meters away. the guy was minding his own business around these birds when he saw me taking pictures. to my surprise he waved me to come in and allowed me to approach the birds for as near as few feet. maybe he is not such an arse after all :)
spectacular! Are you permitted to tour it dude? This one looks like a peregrine. I like the green putting turf on its perch... I want one!
