The instructions that are on the lower edge of the poster are the action all troops in all armies do with their gasmask. They know the chances of actually being gassed is slight and that the retaliation would be intense.

 

So they like being issued gasmasks, the bag is a great design and it is lighter without the piece of crap inside. Gasmasks were seen littered all over the paths that American troops went in WWII.
