I don't see what the big deal is about these watches. They don't have an alarm, can't even be used a calculator, can't store phone numbers, can't take pictures or even summon your car to beat up the bad guys. They aren't even digital!

Your so welcome.

check this out:Patek Philippe Sky Moon Tourbillon.allegedly $1,700,000.00.The "Sky Moon Tourbillon" Ref. 5002 is the first double-faced wristwatch that features a complete presentation of the nocturnal sky on its reverse side. The masterpiece displays the apparent movements of the stars, the orbit of the moon, the moon phases, as well as the hours and minutes in sidereal time.

"i think we should ask Douglas Adams that question" - That may be difficult, he's been pushing up the daisies for a while now :/

thanks for the link xstar!

goodgrief: i think we should ask Douglas Adams that question, slartibartfast is a character from his novel Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy :)

Wow. That's a lengthly article, xtar, but I'm better informed now. This is quite a timepiece; makes Rolex look like a beginner. I'm one to enjoy a good gizmo; this is over the top. Thasalottamoney!!! Looking at xtar's web site, one can see many of these are being produced. People with extra cash to throw around must be standing in line for one of these watches. Interesting...thanks slartibartfast. What does slartibartfast mean?
