one of my three hedgehogs
as it turned out three of these little buggers are living in my garage behind the cat house. i saw them bug-hunting in my front yard an hour ago, man are they Loud :)

No, it just shows that everything, including pussy, is best in moderation. But you're safe: Hedgehogs are illegal in CA. Of course, you guys are noted for a fair quantity of illegals...

i would definitely not want one then. when i walk through the door after work, these cats want to play and bite and i just want them to fuck off and leave me alone!! does that make me a bad daddy? ;P
I read that some people breed them as pets - for $150 or more! Supposedly one of the selling points is that, since they are largely nocturnal, they doze while their people are at work and are ready to... play(?) when they get home.

interesting. i had to check on wikipedia where are they native @. i never knew there isn't any in north america... we have them in abundance
oh believe me HilWil, they are very loud. the spectre of sounds they make is wide, they snarl, they munch, and most of all they sniff like they have asthma.
Cute, Slarti! I've never seen one for real yet. I don't get what you and JC mean by them being really loud when they eat, though. Do you mean they snarl, or make slobbering noises, fight with each other over the prey, or what exactly? I just can't see this little creature being noisy at all.
give them some watermelon - they will either love you to for live or choke on the seeds and go away forever :)

Don't feed them milk, apparently lots of people do, it gives them diarrhoea :/
SONIC!!!! I cleared the whole game with this little fella. Careful, he can shoot bolts and fly as well.
this one turned out magenta in the shot, probably because i shot this in a complete darkness with flash. so a bit of adjusting was done here, but they are more grayish than brown :D
and yes, they love cat food, now i know who made all that mess in the garage :D

Hedgehogs are great! But yes, the noise they make when eating is really loud :D
They like cat food (meat) so that may be attracting them. They don't do any harm to anything though and they are great for keeping the slugs at bay :)
Your Hedgehog looks very grey, mine are more brown :)
haha.. i love hedgehogs - especially if they're in someone else's yard or in a picture!! :D
